“However, it is very difficult to determine what is the correct penalty,” Lindström added.
Lindström has previously been in the headlines for his position on the death penalty. As a lawmaker in a question-answer session in parliament in 2011, he said he could consider death penalty in exceptionally brutal homicides.
As minister, though, Lindströ has said that he is not supporting the issue.
Lindström told YLE that he is also in favour of cancelling terrorists’ passports.
