Police imposed ban on protest at Rajakylä in Oulu on August 4 to avoid unwanted incident following the rape. Photo Lehtikuva.
Two men should serve at least six-year prison sentences in the Oulu Rakakylä rape case, said the prosecutor.

According to the prosecutor, the men walked with a 15-year-old girl in August and one of the men pulled the girl by the hair into the woods, where the rape took place. The men threatened the girl with a knife, said the prosecutor.

The men have been charged with aggravated rape and aggravated child sexual abuse. The rape was disseminated, particularly on social networks, with false information, for example, that the rapists were of foreign origin.

According to the prosecutor, the rape is considered aggravated, because, among other things, it included more than one rapist.

“The victim was a child younger than 18, and a sharp weapon was brandished, namely a knife, with the threat of serious violence, and the crime was committed in a particularly humiliating manner,” the prosecutor wrote in his application for summons.

The judgments in the case will come later.
