The Market Court on Tuesday dismissed a complaint lodged by the passport manufacturer Sagem Segenmark on the awarding of a tender floated by the National Police Board.
The complaint was made against the National Police Board’s decision in July on procurement of passports, personal identity cards, residence permit cards and related services from the digital security company Gemalto.
The police board also represented the immigration services, the foreign affairs ministry and the Population Register Centre in the procurement.
The current agreement ends in August 2016 but its delivery has been extended for a short span with the current contractual partners due to a change in the application process.
Gemalto announced in early 2015 that it had been a victim of hacking in 2010-2011.
