According to the court, the woman killed the man in his apartment by stabbing him in the chest with a kitchen knife.
The victim succumbed to his wounds immediately after the stabbing.
According to the court, the woman did not show that the stabbing was done in self-defense, as the defendant claimed.
The convict, Sari Tanja Anneli Hannula, 47, was also ordered to pay compensation to the victim's family.
The woman acted in sound mind and fully understood the consequences of her action.
She, however, denied killing the man intentionally but admitted that she caused his death.
