Parking fine is set to increase in cities of Kuopio, Rauma, Riihimäki, Savonlinna and Vaasa by 10-15 euros from May.
Proposal to hike parking fine are often done by the municipalities, however, the police department may also increase the parking ticket.
Parking fines can also be increased through an interior ministry decree due to for instance, traffic density, scarcity of parking spaces or due to the number of parking mistakes.
