Several wildfires broke out in different parts of the country on Friday. The terrain in recent times has been very dry in many places.
In Puumala, South Savonia, wildfires burned about 20 acres of undershrub. The fire, however, did not destroy buildings or cause injury to any individual.
Another fire in Loppi, Kante-Häme burnt about an acre of land. The fire threatened to spread to a summer residence around the yard, but the fire and rescue department prevented spread of the fire.
Wildfires were extinguished in Mynämäki, Hartola and Tampere, among other places.
