The turnover of large enterprises contracted in March 2016, according to Statistics Finland's preliminary data.
Seasonally adjusted turnover decreased in March by 1.0 per cent from February.
In February, the seasonally adjusted turnover of large enterprises was 0.2 per cent and in January 0.1 per cent higher than in the preceding month, the data show.

The turnover of large enterprises not adjusted for seasonal variation fell by 4.0 per cent in March 2016 compared with March 2015.
The turnover of large enterprises decreased by 2.4 per cent in January to March from one year ago.
The turnover estimate of large enterprises is based on a sample formed of 2,000 enterprises with the most significant turnover in manufacturing, construction, trade and other service industries.
Excluded from the statistics are enterprises engaged in primary production, and bank and insurance activities.
