The national postal and logistics corporation Posti is going to launch co-determination talks concerning early morning delivery in Oulu.
The initial redundancy estimate is set at 47 employees, but the number will be specified as the negotiations proceed.
The talks follow Posti’s decision to end early morning delivery of the Finnish language daily Helsingin Sanomat in Oulu.
The Helsingin Sanomat and another Finnish language daily, Kaleva, last week informed about their printing and distribution cooperation.
Early morning delivery of the Helsingin Sanomat by Posti in Oulu region continues until October 3.
The change does not affect basic delivery or Posti’s delivery in Oulu.
Posti has promised to assist the employees through a support programme.
