The Finnish Customs is closing eight customer service points following the increased use of elec-tronic services, Customs sources said.
Most of Customs business comes from business customers, and transactions at customer service locations have fallen year over year.
Service centres in Jyväskylä, Kokkola, Lahti, Oulu, Rauma, Tampere, Tornio (Hallituskatu) and Vaasa are going to be closed.
The same locations previously had limited their services to one day a week.
Customs authority is also planning to close offices in Hanko, Pori, Tornio (Etelätulli) and Turku by the beginning of October.
