All vehicles would have to mandatorily use summer tires within Monday, said transport association and police.
No vehicle would be allowed to use winter tires from Tuesday, they said.
The motorists can be fined by the police if spotted continuing using studded tires after the stipulated period comes to an end.
The ban does not apply to motorists using un-studded winter tires.
Motorists started switching to winter tires from mid-October in the country’s north where snowfall started much earlier than in the rest of the country.
