The opposition Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) Chief, Juha Sipilä on Saturday held the government responsible for its failure to timely implement the reforms in social and health care.

Talking to the Yle Ykkösaamu (Morning breakfast programme), he also said that bankruptcy of the nickel mine company Talvivaara would put negative impact on the region, although he believed that new operator could be found to make the company profitable.

“Three years of this parliamentary term has been wasted to look for a model of social and healthcare,” said Sipilä accusing the government of commitment problems.
He, however, did not specify the problems in the government commitments.

“I'm not going to present it now. Yes, they actually know where the problem is,” Sipilä said.

Sipilä believes that the necessary solutions can be achieved even during this election period.

He viewed that all parties should now tackle the issue together to achieve the goal through implementation of the reforms.

The Keskusta leader believes that new owner to run the Talvivaara mine would be able to make the company commercially viable, according to Yle report.

Sipilä warned that the collapse of the mining company will put serious negative impact on the Kainuu region, the Yle report said.
