Lawmakers and Finns ranked Economic Affairs Minister Jan Vapaavuori, Labour Minister Lauri Ihalainen and Foreign Affairs Minister Erkki Tuomioja as top performers in the present cabinet, according to the results of two separate surveys.
A survey commissioned by Yle and based on interviews with the lawmakers said Vapavuori received the best score of 8.5, followed by Ihalainen with a score of 8.3 and Tuomioja with a score of 8.2, while the performance of Education and Communications Minister Krista Kiuru was considered the worst with a score of 6.1.
Similarly, in another survey, Finns considered Tuomioja, Ihalainen and Vapaavuori the best performers, albeit in a different order.
According to Finns, the best performing minister is Tuomioja, followed by Ihalainen and Vapaavuori respectively.
Women ministers received low ratings from both politicians and the citizens.
The tail end of the rating also featured Culture and Housing Minister Pia Viitanen, Environment Minister Sanni Grahn-Laasonen and Social Affairs and Health Minister Laura Räty.
Interior Minister Päivi Räsänen is considered by the Finns the worst performing minister, according to the survey.
A total of 60 MPs responded to the parliamentary survey, while Taloustutkimus interviewed over a thousand Finns between January and February.
