In Utajärvi in Pohjois-Pohjanmaa, two men died in March in a fire that, according to police, was deliberately set. The police suspect a man, who is now in jail, of killing the two men.
The man admitted during questioning to have set a fire to the small house and to the killing of the two men in Kangaskylä. Both victims were born in 1957.
Initially, police did not suspect a crime, but a few days later an investigation revealed evidence of arson.
For purposes of investigation, the police did not previously disclose the matter to the public.
