Niinistö will hold bilateral talks with his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo in Jakarta on 3 November.
They will discuss bilateral issues including political and economic relations and cooperation in matters like the energy and infrastructure sectors between the two countries.
Regional affairs and international issues such as climate change and combating terrorism will also be discussed.
In addition, Niinistö will meet Indonesia's Vice President Jusuf Kalla and the other senior political and economic figures from Indonesia.
First lady Jenni Haukio will accompany the president during the visit scheduled to be concluded on November 4.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will participate in the state visit and engage in bilateral talks with the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi. A business delegation will also travel to Indonesia during the president’s visit.
A seminar on economic relations between Finland and Indonesia will be organized in Jakarta on the occasion.
Indonesia's rising economy is the largest in Southeast Asia and holds the prospect of major opportunities for economic co-operation.
The President of Indonesia visited Finland last in 2006. The last visit of Finland president to Indonesia was made by former President Tarja Halonen in 2008.
