The websites of various public administrations were hit with denial-of-service (DOS) attacks on Wednesday afternoon.
The DOS attacks targeted the government ICT Centre Valtori’s common publishing platform. The attacks led to a temporary slowdown and downtime for ministry websites as well as others. Valtori did not wish to specify which ministries were affected.
In the past, the ministries of Defence, Finance, Social Affairs and Health have all suffered DOS attacks.
The hacker group FinnSec Security announced in March that they were behind the DOS attacks on parliament, national social insurance institution Kela, and the Ministry of Defence.
