Espoo has been ranked the safest city in the country for the third year in a row, reported Finnish language daily Savon Sanomat. Second place went to Kouvola, and third to Kuopio.
Helsinki and Vantaa are the other major cities on the list.
The comparison is based on police data regarding street safety in urban areas.
The street security index measures robbery, assaults, property damage, and drinking and driving in relation to the population of a region.
