Russia has started to make an observatory flight over Finland from Wednesday, which will continue till Friday, said the Defence Forces on Wednesday.
The flight is part of the Open Skies agreement, the aim of which is to promote transparency and security in Europe.
The Russian observation flight team consists of 18 people. The flight director is Major Toni Ovaskainen from Air Force Command.
Open Skies allows observation and description flights over member states in accordance with pre-established flight plans through each other's airspace.
