Transaction through Nordea Bank was delayed on Tuesday due to technical glitch developed in the online banking system of the bank.
Bank sources said that some of the payments, particularly the salaries and pension money, however, were paid in the afternoon while some of the payments are yet to be made.
“Some of the payments were sent to the accounts by 5:00 pm while some of the payment still remained unpaid,” said a Nordea official, adding that the unpaid amount would be paid on Wednesday.
Nordea officials said that the congestion was created in online transactions in between Monday and Tuesday night.
The authority, however, failed to ascertain the glitch, which created the delay in the payment system.
