The Finnish Customs is planning to discontinue customer care services in four locations.
The planned closure of customer care services targets Lappeenranta, Kouvola, Loviisa and central Vantaa.
According to the Customs, the majority of customers there use electronic services. Electronic services demanded by the European Union have significantly reduced the need for customer care services, observed the Customs.
The four customers care service points will be transferred and handled through telephone and e-mail services.
The Customs will next year decide the fate of Hakkila, Hanko, Jyväskylä, Kokkola, Lahti, Oulu, Pori, Rauma, Tampere, Vaasa and Tornio customer care service points.
