Ericsson's codetermination negotiations have concluded, resulting in the layoffs of 55 employees in Finland. The number dropped significantly from the beginning of negotiations, when as many as 95 employees faced termination.

According to Ericsson, redundancies found within the company were part of the reason for the layoffs.

The codetermination negotiations affect only Ericsson's research and development units.

After the downsizing, Ericsson will employ 950 people in Finland, mostly in Kirkkonummi.
