A court on Tuesday sentenced two men to life imprisonment on charges of a murder in Oulu in last year.

The Oulu District Court awarded the punishment convicting the criminals for planning and carrying out pre-planned murder of a 34-year-old man in February 2013.

The killers are Stepan Juhani Erikkilä, 24, and Stepan Rami Mansour, 40, formerly known as Bobby Dashti.

The court observed that Mansour had persuaded Erikillä to kill the new boyfriend of his former partner by offering cash reward of €35,000 on top of other financial benefits.

The killer however did not get any cash reward following the execution of the murder.

The 34-year-old man was stabbed to death in an apartment stairway in Räjäkylä neighbourhood in Oulu.

The killing was being planned for four months, according to the court, and was discussed via Facebook because Mansour lived in Sweden at that time.

According to the verdict, Mansuor blamed the victim for the cause of his divorce and that he could no longer keep in touch with his children.

Mansour had repeatedly threatened to kill his former partner and her new boyfriend, said the verdict, adding that he also helped the hit-man by providing descriptive information of the victim

and his work schedule.

Erikillä, the Court viewed, had twice planned to strike but gave up before finally committing the merciless act.
