The Southwest Finland District Court on Monday sentenced one person to ten and a half years and two others to four years in jail each for killing one person in Salo last year.

The main convict of the murder is a 22-year-old man who was sentenced to 10 years and six months’ imprisonment and the court ordered him to serve the full sentence.

According to the court, the convict killed a 47-year-old man of Salo by stabbing him with a knife about 10 times. The murder occurred in the victim’s home in August last year.

The other two men aged 36 and 31 were sentenced to four years’ imprisonment each for manslaughter as well as for assisting in the assault and home invasion.

According to the court, they guided the killer to the victim’s apartment. In July 2015, the two convicts had assaulted the victim.

The prosecution sought life sentence for all three of them for murder. They considered the act to be planned and argued it was carried out in concert.
