Cabby suspected of violating traffic signal

A taxi driver is suspected of driving through a red light and colliding with a cyclist on a zebra crossing, leaving the latter injured, the police said.
The incident took place at the crossing of the Nordenskiöldinkatu and the Urheilukatu roads in Helsinki on Saturday.
The impact of the collision sent the cyclist flying onto the street. He was later taken to hospital.
The matter is being investigated as aggravated endangerment of traffic safety and causing personal injury.
