Former party Chief of Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party) Alexander Stubb did not take part in the party's parliamentary group meeting in the coastal town of Turku on Tuesday.
The chairman of the Kokoomus parliamentary group Kalle Jokinen said that Stubb had an-nounced that he will not participate in the meeting.
However, Jokinen was unable to say the reason behind Stubb´s absence in the meeting.
Stubb, also the former Prime Minister of the country tweeted on Monday evening that he will be taking part in an interview with CNN.
Besides Stubb, Kokoomus MP Eero Lehti did not attend the Tuesday’s meeting where the Ko-koomus lawmakers met to outline party's autumn policy.
The parliamentary group of the party will meet in Salo today (Wednesday).
Stubb led the party till June this year before he lost to Petteri Orpo in the polls of party president.
