The research study, however, showed that immigrant employment compared to those of the general population is more unstable with lower salaries and left to work in lesser jobs outside the health sector.
According to the research conducted by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, the immigrants are often more likely to do part time or casual jobs.
About 1,200 immigrants of Russian, Kurdish and Somali background, with half of them in employment, were interviewed for the research.
One in four of the participants in the research study were satisfied with the action of their respective bosses who treated and valued immigrants at the workplace in the same way as they would to other employees.
The majority of the immigrants, however, assess that their knowledge and skills are sufficient to do more demanding tasks.
