Twenty-seven per cent of all open job vacancies were part-time positions and the corresponding share was 21 per cent one year earlier.
In all, 23,400 or 77 per cent of the job vacancies were in establishments owned by private enterprises in the second quarter.
One year earlier the corresponding share was almost the same.
The number of open job vacancies increased compared to the previous year's corresponding quarter in large establishments with over 50 employees.
Examined by the industry of the establishment, job vacancies increased most in the industry group of trade, transportation and storage, accommodation and food service activities.
In the second quarter, 27 per cent of all job vacancies were part-time, which is six percentage points more than one year earlier, the statistics show.
Part-time jobs were available most in trade establishments.
The share of fixed-term jobs in all open job vacancies was 43 per cent, or almost the same as one year earlier.
Employers estimated that 50 per cent of the job vacancies in the second quarter were hard to fill while one year earlier the corresponding share was 43 per cent.
For example, establishments in construction had plenty of jobs considered hard to fill.
The reference period of the data is 1 June.
Statistics Finland has been collecting data on open job vacancies quarterly since 2002.
