The Seinäjoki teenage killer's motive was infatuation with a boy, said the prosecutor in the indict-ment. According to him, the 15-year-old girl wanted to get rid of her competitors.

According to the prosecutor, the girl planned the murder for less than a month. The intention was to poison the victim so that she would die later.

According to the indictment, the girl chose windshield washer fluid as the poison. She persuaded the victim to give her a ride to her home on her moped.

“There she offered [the victim] juice, which she had mixed with the windshield washer fluid. When [the victim] tried the juice, she was put off by the taste and stopped drinking it,” the prosecutor writes.

Failing to poison her victim, the girl changed tactics, according to the prosecutor. She asked her classmate to relax by listening to music blindfolded.

According to the indictment, the girl then took a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim several times, ignoring her pleas for help. The prosecutor is demanding a sentence of least 10 years for the young girl. A young person convicted of murder can be imprisoned for 2-12 years.
