President Sauli Niinistö will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, on 21–22 January this year, said an official press release.
The main theme of this year's forum is the fourth industrial revolution.
In addition, the sessions will cover topics such as the European refugee crisis, climate change, as well as security and hybrid threats.
About 2,500 delegates, including more than 40 heads of state or governments, will attend the Davos World Economic Forum this year.
This annual event gathers together policy-makers, business leaders, academics, representatives of non-governmental organisations, as well as economic and cultural opinion formers to discuss the global economic outlook and other topical global and regional issues.
