According to Hanso, such cooperation between sister countries does not require formal mutual assistance clause.
“The cooperation between sister countries goes beyond the clauses,” Hanso said.
The Estonian Defence Minister emphasised that Estonia is also always prepared to help Finland and the Finns.
Hanso was interviewed by Lännen media during his visit to Lebanon together with his Finnish counterpart Jussi Niinistö.
Niinistö in reference to Hanso's assessment merely stated that it was “interesting” that Finland and Estonia would help each other even in the worst place.
