The government on Friday won a no-confidence motion following interpellation by opposition parties on planned cuts in education.
Lawmakers voted 86-57 in favour of the government, while 56 other lawmakers were absent during the Friday's session.
The motion was sponsored by opposition party, the Suomen ruotsalainen kansanpuolue (Swedish People's Party of Finland) and was supported by the rest of the opposition parties.
