Sat, 06 Aug, 2016 12:10:54 AM FTimes – STT Report, Aug 6  File Photo Lehtikuva. Six officials of the Vaasa City Corporation are suspected of bribery in a case concerning official trips, reported Finnish language daily Pohjalainen.
The police are investigating an incident in which three companies paid for Vaasa city employees’ trips between 2009 and 2016.
The police said that some of the six suspected city employees hold leading positions in the Cor-poration.
Five representatives of the companies are also suspected of aggravated bribery giving in the case, said police.
The companies belong to the same cluster of enterprise.
According to the newspaper, ten trips were made in different parts of the country for brief meet-ings but the trips lasted for a number of days.
The City of Vaasa has conducted an internal investigation in this regard.
