A post-war house at Pukkila in Uudenmaa was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday morning.
The house was already ablaze, with flames seen coming through the roof when the Fire Brigade alerted by the neighbours arrived on the scene.
The residents were not at home, but three pet dogs died in the fire.
The fire started downstairs, but the origin of the fire is yet to be determined.
According to the chief fire fighter on duty, the house was large enough that the fire did not spread to surrounding areas before they arrived.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
