A man was killed and two more people and a woman were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two private cars at Vehmaa in Southwest Finland on Sunday.
The Vehmaa fire chief on duty, Marko Ahtikivi said the deceased, the driver of one of the cars, was born in the 1950’s. There were another man and a woman in that car.
The second car was being driven by a 1996-born man. Ahtikivi said, “It took more than half an hour just to bring him out of the car.”
The rescue department received the alarm on the accident at the Y-intersection on Road 194 shortly before 4.30 p.m.
The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the mishap.
