The Team Finland network's internationalisation services for companies have been restructured into a one-stop-shop to form a logical whole, with a clearer division of duties between actors.

The first version of the service package was unveiled on Wednesday at the same time as Finpro went public with its new operating model and service, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs revealed its services for enterprises, according to a government press release.

At the moment, the package includes services by Finpro, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, Finnvera, Finnpartnership, the Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation Ltd. (Finnfund), Finnish Industry Investment Ltd and the Finnish-Russian and Finnish-Swedish Chambers of Commerce.

About the restructuring, Head of Unit Tuomas Tapio of the Prime Minister's Office said the service range has been simplified and overlaps eliminated. “Thanks to this reorganisation, companies will be able to find the services they need easily and form an idea of the entire service package on offer.”

The services have been arranged under six main categories. Companies can obtain information on issues such as markets in various countries, seek advice on the various phases of internationalisation, and obtain funding and assistance in the creation of networks, societal relationships and visibility.

The formation of a service portfolio is a step forward for Team Finland's collaboration. The next major steps include finalising the service model intended for Finland, and creating a joint customer relationship management system by the end of next year. This will ease service use for companies, while enabling smooth flows of information on company needs between service providers, said the press release.

“A clear structure and division of duties will also help to ensure that the most efficient and effective use is made of national resources targeted at internationalization”, Tuomas Tapio added.
