Over the same period, the volume of retail trade sales went up by 0.8 per cent.
In daily consumer goods trade, sales grew by 3.8 per cent and the sales volume by 2.9 per cent from October 2013, according to the data.
There were 27 weekday trading days in October 2014, which is the same as in October 2013.
According to the Business Register, the share of daily consumer goods turnover in retail trade was 47.6 per cent in 2012.
The retail trade flash estimate is based on a sample covering, on the average, 60 per cent of retail trade turnover.
