Mon, 04 Apr, 2016 12:06:41 AM FTimes – STT Report, Apr 4 Office workers in Helsinki. File Photo – Lehtikuva. More than four out of five Finnish employees have confidence in their job security, reported the national broadcaster Yle.
Trust in job security has increased since December. The weakest trust is among young adults.
Among 25-34-year-olds, almost one in five is afraid they will lose their job.
The information is based on the report of a survey conducted by Taloustutkimus by interviewing 2,007 respondents, 1,076 of whom were employed.
According to Taloustutkimus Research Director Tuomo Turja, the research shows that the darkest period of trust in employment security is over.
“It could be interpreted so that people who are currently employed believe that the worst is over. It’s also possible that these people have survived a number of codetermination negotiations,” Turja said.
The survey has a 2.5 per cent margin of error in either direction.
