The Minister for Housing and Communication, Krista Kiuru, will Leave Helsinki for India on Tuesday on a five day visit, said a press release on Monday.
The minister during her visit will hold meetings with Kamal Nath, India's Minister of Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, and Kapil Sibal, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
The main theme of the visit is intelligent cities, where information technology is used to improve housing, urban planning, energy efficiency and comfort. The aim is to develop co-operation between Finland and India.
Kiuru will view projects on ecological building and intelligent cities, particularly in the Karnataka area during her visit. Her itinerary also includes visits to Wipro Campus and the Nokia Siemens Networks' research and development centre, the press release added.
