Helsinki, February 2 – A network of teams dedicated to Finnish causes launched Friday to promote external economic relations and attract investment in Finland among many other objectives, an official release said.

The network of 72 teams around the globe formally called Team Finland will bring together all Finnish authorities, public funded
organisations and other key parties to tie up.
Each team has a work programme and a designated coordinator with information on the network's local activities and services. Besides, a website team.finland.fi will provide information on activities and events related to Finland's external economic relations, contact details for the Team Finland network, and a gateway to the services offered by the participating organisations.

An official handout said the Team Finland network promotes external economic relations, boosts the country's brand abroad, assists in internationalisation of business, and attracts investments in Finland.
Ministry of Employment and the Economy, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture - together with publicly funded organisations and other Finnish networks abroad will guide the network in its functions.
The Finnish Prime Minister heads the network.
