One person was killed and another injured when a man wielding a sharp weapon stabbed them at East Pasila on Saturday late night.
The police said a 27-year-old man is suspected of committing the crime.
The youngest of the victims, a 25-year-old man, succumbed to the injuries. The perpetrator is suspected to have stabbed the victim on the chest. The victim died despite first aid attempts to resuscitate him.
The second man was stabbed at the neck and is recovering, said the police.
The incident took place in a private residence following a dispute.
The police said they arrested the suspect in a nearby place. He is being held for murder and attempted murder.
