According to the indictments, one of the men accessed information on police investigations without authorisation, which concerned his former colleagues. He used the system shared by the Border Guard and the police for that purpose.
According to the prosecution, two others revealed details of the pre-investigation to the former wife of the one being investigated. They are accused of breaching official secrecy.
The suspected crimes took place in 2012 and 2013. The defendants admitted of acting in the manner described but denied the alleged offences.
The prosecution is seeking fines against the defendants. The South Karelia District Court will give an official judgment later.
