The Oulu police at the turn of the week recovered more than 320 firearms, mostly unauthor-ized.
Most of the arms were shotguns and rifles, but there were also 30 handguns.
The police also recovered more than 8,000 magazines and seven kilograms of explosives.
The police-organised firearm recovery aims to prevent possible damage from unauthorised weapons and expired explosives.
The police also urged the people to surrender unauthorised weapons at any time without pen-alty.
