A 34-year-old man was on Sunday killed in a road accident in Pellesmäki, Kuopio.
The car driven along national road 5 by the Kuopio resident was heading towards the North, when it went over the oncoming lane and hit a pole.
The impact sent the car up in the air.
The driver who was alone in the car died at the scene.
The speed limit in the area is 60 km/h and the weather condition according to the police was normal.
The Emergency Response Centre received the alarm at 2:30 p.m.
The road was partly closed due to clearance work at the scene of the accident.
