Building costs increased by 0.7 per cent in May 2014 in the country compared to that in May of the previous year particularly because of rising prices of labour inputs in construction and prices of materials. 
 
According to Statistics Finland, the prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 0.6 per cent, the prices of materials also grew by 0.6 per cent, and those of other inputs increased by 1.9 per cent from one year ago. 
 
From April to May, the total index of building costs rose by 0.6 per cent. The prices of labour inputs grew by 0.7 per cent, the prices of materials also increased by 0.7 per cent and those of other inputs went down by 0.1 per cent.
