Flash estimate of the consumer confidence indicator in September 2014 continued to decline in both the EU and the eurozone compared to August, according to a survey released by the European Union Directorate-General Financial and Economic Affairs.
In the 18-member bloc using the same currency, the consumer confidence indicator declined for a fourth-consecutive month by 1.4 points to minus 11.4.
In the 28-member EU, consumer confidence dropped by 1.6 points to minus 8, said the survey.
Analysts said eurozone consumer confidence fell again in September was mostly because consumers were disappointed by the slow pace of economic recovery and longstanding conflict in Ukraine.
