A total of 3.3 million people in the country will receive tax refunds that amounts to 2.2 billion euros, Tax Administration sources said.
The average tax refund is 658 euros, said the Tax Administration in a release.
The share of those who will receive more than a thousand euros accounts to 65 percent of the total refunds.

The tax refund will be paid on December 3 on the bank account specified by the tax payer.
On the other hand, 778,000 people will pay 1.1 billion euros in residual taxes at an average of 1,424 euros.
If the amount of residual tax exceeds 170 euros, the sum is divided in two instalment. The first instalment was due on December 1 and the second instalment must be paid no later than February 2.
