FTimes-STT Report, June 21

Department store Anttila has started codetermination negotiations with their Kodin1 department stores which have been making losses in recent years, and their activities being scrutinised.

The negotiations affect 531 people in nine department stores, as well as the central unit. An estimat-ed 300 people will be relocated to other tasks within the company.

Kesko sold Anttila to the private equity firm 4K Invest over a year ago. In the future, the owner plans to focus on developing only the Anttila department store chain and e-commerce.

The plan to change Kodin1 stores to Anttila-branded stores is still a possibility. The Kodin1 in Kai-saniemi, Helsinki will change to Anttila in the autumn.

Anttila did not want to specify yet on Monday the impact of the restructuring or their rationalisa-tions for the negotiations.
