The Danske Bank has forecast that Finland’s economic growth may slow significantly following the process of Brexit.

According to the bank, Finland’s GDP may decrease next year by up to 0.5 per cent because of the Brexit. The bank’s previous estimate of GDP growth was only 1.3 per cent.

The Brexit could affect Finland by slowing demand in Britain and other countries in the eurozone.

According to the bank, assessing the impact of the Brexit is difficult, but in any case, the uncertainty will postpone investments.

Danske Bank predicts that the UK will fall into a recession next year, and that the eurozone’s economic growth could fall by up to one percentage point.

Britain’s share of Finnish exports last year was around five per cent.

According to Danske Bank, Finland’s economy is not particularly sensitive to the economic cycles of Britain.
