The telecommunication operator Elisa tested the fifth generation (5G) network in Helsinki on Tuesday.

According to Elisa, it is the first operator in the country to have tested the 5G network.

The test was run in conjunction with Nokia.

The 5G network is expected to offer 100 times faster connection than the current 4G network.

“Fast and un-delayed connection makes it possible to have new range of services to consumers and companies. Through 5G robots will become widespread, surgeries may be conducted remotely and cars will soon be self-directed,” said Elisa Vice President Sami Komulainen.

The test involved playing a virtual reality game.
