Two persons were killed in separate road accidents at Järvelä and Tampere in the country on Saturday. 
 
Police said that a young man died in the early hours on Saturday when his car skidded off the road and hit an electric pole at Kärkölä in Järvelä. 
 
The accident took place at 4:00 o'clock in the morning on Häkäniemen road. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
 
The police said the young driver, going at a very high speed, went off the road and the car crashed into a light pole. 
 
The man who was seated in the front seat was killed. The driver and a young woman were taken to the hospital. 
 
Police said that the driver was heavily drunk while driving.
 
The police are investigating the case as a violation of traffic and aggravated drunken driving and manslaughter.
 
 
In another accident, a motorcyclist was killed when his motorbike collided with a car at Sampo area in Tampere. 
 
The victim was a middle aged man. The driver of the car was also injured in the accident and taken to the hospital.
