Greece is informed, Urpilianen
FTimes-STT Report, May 15

The disclosure came following an order of the Supreme Administrative Court on Tuesday asking the government to make the agreement public.

The Court observed that the deal requires a broader public disclosure in order to meet norms of the public interest.

Meanwhile, the Finance Minister, Jutta Urpilianen said the surety disclosure of Greece would not put any impact in Finland.

The Minister also said that the decision of the Finnish administrative court was already informed to the Greece government and the issue was not raised in the EU finance ministers’ summit held in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday.

Urpilianen said that she had no objection to disclose the secret deal and it would not put impact internationally as it is well-known to everybody that the EU law and national law are different.

Finland asked guarantee from Greece when the member states of EU negotiated for a loan package for Greece two years back during its financial crisis.
The Greece government met the requirement but told the Finland government to keep the deal secret.
